Teaching Chief Architect

I began designing with AutoCad software in 1990, and moved on to 3D Home Architect in 1994, which has become Better Homes and Gardens Home Design Software developed by Chief Architect. I have been using Chief Architect since 1997, the best on the market for residential design applications, and am now using the latest version of Chief Architect version X2. For the last two years, I have been training builders and homeowners, who enjoy doing some of their own design work, to use these CAD programs. Check out www.chiefarchitect.com to find out more about all the software programs they provide. You can download a trial version and try it out.

Most of the training I do is by using internet meetings through www.gotomypc.com. My clients really like the convenience, ease of operation and shortening their learning curve with one on one training.

As a remodeling contractor, I purchased Chief Architect In order to handle the smaller jobs not needing the skills of a full fledged architect. ChiefArchitect is a program that really does that work easily and is capable of much, much more. I asked Diane for some help getting the feel and features of the program. Diane in her relaxed style showed me quickly how to get a drawing done with details, elevations, and measurements and to make 3D walk-through for customer presentation. It was a real time saver for me and she is readily available to help if I get stuck on a problem.

Diane Oxley has helped us with Chief Architect (CA) for about 12 years. Diane has taught us most of what we know about CA. She has helped us since we bought Version 7, and has continued to help us with all the versions including the new X1. Her knowledge of CA and her ability to teach makes the learning curve easy. She is always available to lend a helping hand when we have a problem.
